Every class is designed to balance enjoyment with purposeful learning, helping young children build, learn and developing valuable qualities such as teamwork, confidence and skill set. Classes are led by an experienced, qualified coaching team who create a positive, supportive environment where every child can progress at their own pace whilst having fun.

Age & Skill Grouped Classes
Our football classes are carefully grouped by age and ability, allowing younger players to build confidence and develop core skills at their own pace. Alongside expert coaching, children form friendships, gain social confidence and enjoy a fun, supportive environment that nurtures long-term growth in football and generally across all sports.
Professional Coaching Team
The academy is constantly expanding the coaching team, from Oct 2026, we will add a further 4 coaches taking the team up 12 coaching staff, which include 6 senior coaches and 6 support staff who will advance quickly through FA courses and attending in-house training within the academy.
Our Harefield Venue
Our “early learning academy” - has run a full programme of classes at Harefield School, Uxbridge, since 2012.
Where to Find Us
Classes run over the weekends - on Saturday and Sunday at our Harefield Venue and Sundays at our new venue at St Columba’s College, King Harry Lane, St Albans. AL3 4AW. Coaching includes skill-based drills, team activities, and mini matches.

We hold classes starting for children aged 3 years old, up to 10.

Yes! Every child is welcome at Northwood Football Academy with new dedicated girls classes held on Sunday mornings.

Upon enrolment, your child will receive an official NFA training kit with first name printed on the back of the shirt. Your child will need to wear football ASTRO trainers to aid development and prevent slipping. Laces are preferred over straps.

None whatsoever! We structure our classes to accommodate for kids of all ability levels between the ages of 4-10. Classes are designed to build the core foundations of your child’s footballing skillset.
